Simple Mobile plans review

I liked Simple Mobile's $40, but other prepaid providers have similar plans with better phone selections.

I was a Simple Mobile customer for over a year and tried their $25, $30, $40, and $50 plans, but I never tried their $60 plan because it has the same features as the $50 plan except for hotspot.

My best experience with prepaid providers was with MetroPCS, but I also liked Simple Mobile because the data allowance on their plans is generous, and their coverage is pretty good.

I used my Simple Mobile service with an iPhone and had to program the APN settings to enable my phone to connect to the internet. Programming the APN settings was simple, and I briefly covered APN settings in one of my other posts.

I want you to glance at Simple Mobile's monthly plans to get an idea of their features. Remember that Simple Mobile may reduce data speeds during congestion times and for customers using more than 40GB of data per month.

Simple Mobile $60 plan:

  • Unlimited talk & text
  • Unlimited high-speed data
  • 15GB of hotspot
  • $3 discount for enrolling in autopay
  • $20 international credit & other international calling features
  • 50GB of cloud storage
  • A better plan? Metro PCS offers a similar plan for $60 with amazing data speed and a good selection of high-end phones constantly on promotion. I tried this plan and loved it, but I downgraded to the $40 plan to save money.
  • A cheaper alternative? You can't go wrong with Mint Mobile's $30 unlimited talk, text, and data plan, which includes 35GB of 5G and the remaining data at 4G speed.

Simple Mobile $50 plan:

  • Unlimited talk & text
  • Unlimited high-speed data
  • No hotspot capability
  • $2.5 discount for enrolling in autopay
  • $10 international credit & other international calling features
  • Don't need hotspot? $50 is a fair price for unlimited high-speed data. Boost Mobile will give 35GB,

Simple Mobile $40 plan:

  • Unlimited talk & text
  • 15GB of high-speed data, then reduced to 2g
  • Hotspot uses data allowance.
  • $3 discount for enrolling in autopay
  • $10 international credit & other international calling features
  • A cheaper alternative? Mint Mobile's $25 plan has the same amount of data.
  • Need better coverage? Go with Metro PCS, Cricket, AT&T Prepaid, or Verizon Prepaid. They all have similar plans.

Simple Mobile $30 plan:

  • Unlimited talk & text
  • 5GB of high-speed data, then reduced to 2g
  • Hotspot uses data allowance.
  • $2.5 discount for enrolling in autopay
  • $10 international credit & other international calling features
  • Need better coverage? AT&T Prepaid has an identical plan for $30.

Simple Mobile $25 plan:

  • Unlimited talk & text
  • 3GB of high-speed data, then reduced to 2g
  • Hotspot uses data allowance.
  • $2.25 discount for enrolling in autopay
  • $10 international credit & other international calling features
  • Need a lower price? Choose Boost Mobile's $10, which includes 1GB of data and unlimited talk and text. Or, choose Mint Mobile's $15 plan, which includes 4GB of data and unlimited talk and text.
